Colette, a retiree, has enjoyed playing a variety of lottery games with OLG for 30 years. She always likes to purchase her tickets from the same retail store. “It’s a family-run store and the people that own it are the sweetest,” she shared, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “When I went in, I asked the store clerk what the newest $10 game was? One drew my eye, and I picked this specific ticket.”

Enjoying a bite to eat turned into a moment Colette would not soon forget. “I was eating my sandwich and started to play when I saw all the zeros,” she said. “I dropped my sandwich, scanned my ticket, and immediately called my brother. He asked, ‘Is this real?’ I was pacing, crying, and screaming. I couldn’t believe it,” she smiled.  

Colette looks forward to purchasing some new home furnishings and spoiling herself.

“It’s surreal! You have to win to experience this feeling. You really can’t describe it,” she concluded.
