Toronto, ON – The LOTTO MAX odds have shone in favour of Anthony Sheparski of Stoney Creek! He won a MAXMILLIONS prize worth $1 million in the May 14, 2024 LOTTO MAX draw.

Anthony, who works in public service, has been a regular player with OLG for many years. He typically plays LOTTO MAX and LOTTO 6/49 and is now celebrating his first big win! “I was at the store, on my way to pick up some dinner and handed my ticket over to be validated,” he shared, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his windfall. “The clerk said, ‘It’s a big winner!’ We were both unsure what that meant. When I found out it was a $1 million prize, it was hard to believe. Even now, it is unbelievable!”

The self-described cat and dog dad was left speechless when presented with his winnings. “I’ve never seen my name on a cheque for $1 million,” he said with a smile. “I’m overwhelmed with gratitude!”

“This win is a whole new opportunity for me. I am considering a few road trips in a new RV,” Anthony concluded.

LOTTO MAX players in Ontario have won over $8 billion since 2009, including 105 jackpot wins and 879 MAXMILLIONS prizes, right across the province. LOTTO MAX is $5 per play and draws take place on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The winning ticket was purchased at Avondale on Barton Street in Stoney Creek.
