TORONTO, ON – The possibilities are endless for Ginette Chaumont and Robert Lapensee of Vankleek Hill after winning $1,000 a week for life with INSTANT CASH FOR LIFE (Game #1176). The pair opted for the lump sum payment of $675,000.
"This is our first big win," shared the couple, while at the OLG Prize Centre to pick up their winnings.
Ginette played her ticket while relaxing at home when she discovered she won big. "I looked at it and thought I was losing my marbles," she laughed. "I took a photo of the ticket and sent it to Robert to show him we won!"
"I couldn't believe it," Robert said. "I told Ginette to take it to the store to make sure we actually won!" Ginette recalled going through a range of emotions in front of the store clerk when she heard the ‘Winner/Gagnant’ jingle coming from the lottery terminal, “I got the sweats and the shakes. I started to laugh, cry and also got light-headed. At one point, I also did a little jig in the store!”
The couple plans to treat themselves with their winnings. "I will visit the hair salon more often," said Ginette.
"This win will enhance our lives," Robert concluded.
