Etalk Senior Correspondent, Traci Melchor will guide a panel discussion with Stephan James (If Beale Street Could Talk), Shamier Anderson (Destroyer), Jess Salgueiro (Mouthpiece), Lamar Johnson (The Hate U Give) and others, exploring themes like building a legacy for Toronto’s talent locally and abroad, while the stars also share their expertise in relationship building, auditioning and leveraging social media to achieve their dreams. Toronto on the Rise: Building a Legacy for Toronto Talent in Hollywood
On Monday, September 10 at 2 p.m., LOTTO MAX Up Close is hosting Toronto on the Rise, an intimate conversation and meet & greet with Toronto’s up and coming stars. Etalk Senior Correspondent, Traci Melchor will guide a discussion exploring themes like building a legacy for Toronto’s talent locally and abroad and making Toronto a world leader in fostering fresh young talent. The audience, limited to 140 guests, will learn what these stars have done to achieve their Hollywood dreams, including relationship building and networking, how to make a splash in an audition, and how to leverage social media to put your name in lights. Traci will be joined by Stephan James, former TIFF Rising Star and featured at TIFF in Barry Jenkins’ If Beale Street Could Talk and Amazon’s Homecoming, Shamier Anderson, featured at TIFF in Destroyer, Lamar Johnson, TIFF Rising Star and featured at TIFF in The Hate U Give, Jess Salgueiro, TIFF Rising Star and featured at TIFF in Mouthpiece, Mouna Traoré, In Contempt, American Gods, Murdoch Mysteries and Yasmine Pearl, a top talent agent at WME.
