NIAGARA REGION RESIDENTS ONE STEP CLOSER TO COLLECTING LOTTERY PRIZE

TORONTO, ON – A group of eight from the Niagara region is one step closer to claiming a lottery win of $25,000 from the ONTARIO 49 draw on September 23, 2020. The group also won three smaller prizes totaling $33 on other draws on the same ticket brining their total winnings to $25,033. The members of the group are: Brett Porter of Niagara Falls Christine Ryan of St. Catharines Derek Hunter of Niagara Falls Gary Tindall of Niagara Falls Joel Mowat of Niagara Falls Robert Flewelling of Niagara Falls Terry Janzen of St. Catharines Natalie Lacasse of Niagara Falls As Gary’s son is an employee for Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, this prize falls within OLG’s definition of an Insider Win. As of today’s date, the claimants have completed the first step of a two-step Insider Win process, which included enhanced scrutiny of the prize claim. To complete the prize claim, the prize will be held for a 30-day waiting period as part of OLG’s Insider Win process, in order for OLG to publicize the win. If there are no additional claims on this prize it will be paid to the claimants on July 3, 2021 If the pay date falls on a day that is not a business day, then the following business day shall be deemed to be the pay date.
