LOTTARIO JACKPOT DISCREPANCY

Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has resolved a discrepancy between the estimated jackpot value and the actual jackpot value for the LOTTARIO draw of Saturday, January 5, 2019.

On January 5th, OLG conducted a draw for LOTTARIO. The draw was undertaken according to all applicable rules and regulations, and resulted in a jackpot of $450,529.40.  However, OLG identified that there was a sizeable difference between the advertised estimated jackpot value of $840,000 and the actual jackpot.

After review, OLG determined that this difference had no bearing on the game integrity or actual jackpot.  However, given the size of the discrepancy, OLG elected to pay to the rightful owner of the winning ticket both the actual jackpot and an additional amount of $389,470.60. The total payment is equal to the advertised amount.

OLG values the loyalty of its customers and is committed to fairness and transparency in the player experience.
