HAMILTON RESIDENT WINS $25,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE WITH DAILY GRAND

TORONTO, ON – Life is a little more “grand” for James Lavigne of Hamilton. He matched all five main numbers to win a second prize of $25,000 a year for life with DAILY GRAND in the January 23, 2023 draw. James opted for the lump sum prize of $500,000.

James, a 58-year-old retiree, said he’s a regular lottery player and chooses his own numbers. “I use birthdates and important years relating to my parents,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his win.

James said when he was checking his ticket at the store and saw $25,000 a year for life, his knees went weak. “I couldn’t’ believe it – I almost fainted!” he said. “I was so happy – I signed my ticket right away.”

The father and grandfather said he’s always wanted to own a home and now he can make that dream come true. “I’m also going to take a trip to the Dominican Republic,” he smiled.

“It’s amazing – I’ve never had this kind of money before.”

DAILY GRAND is a national lottery game with a top prize of $1,000 a day for life for matching the five main numbers plus the Grand Number. The second prize is $25,000 a year for life for matching the five main numbers. DAILY GRAND is $3 per play and draws take place on Mondays and Thursdays.
