Toronto, ON – Tristan R. of Hamilton can “find his possible” after winning a LOTTO 6/49 prize worth $1 million in the Gold Ball Draw on April 1, 2026.

Tristan, a physiotherapist, has been playing the lottery every week for about a year.

The 31-year-old said he was on his lunch break when he received an email from OLG. “When I saw I won a major prize of $1 million, I was shocked!” he recalled while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his winnings. “It was so unbelievable — I probably checked the ticket a hundred times. I was really excited and couldn’t stop smiling for the rest of the workday.”

Tristan waited until he got home to share the news with his wife, but she didn’t believe him at first. “It was around April Fools’ Day, so she thought I was joking,” he said with a laugh. “When she finally believed it, we instantly started daydreaming about the things we could do with this prize. We just had a baby four months ago, so this win came at a great time.”

With his windfall, Tristan plans to buy a bigger home and an SUV. “We’d like to grow our family, and this will help us plan for that. We’ll also invest a portion of this win and maybe take a trip in the future,” he concluded.
