Toronto, ON – Dennis Barnett of Jasper has that “6/49 feeling” after winning a LOTTO 6/49 second prize worth $56,605.90 in the March 18, 2020 draw. Dennis matched five numbers plus the bonus number to win the prize.
A 62-year-old father of two, Dennis discovered his win early one morning when he checked his tickets on OLG.ca. “I saw that the numbers were matching so I pulled out my phone to double check using the OLG Lottery App,” he shared, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “That’s when I realized I won over $56,000. My hands started to shake,” he recalled.
Dennis called his son to tell him the news. “He said, ‘It’s not April Fools yet, you’re not fooling me, right?’” he laughed.
The factory worker plans to invest his winnings. “This will be a nice buffer for my wife and I – we’re in no hurry to spend it,” he concluded.
