Toronto, ON – Whale, flew, and bobble were only some of the words that Juvy Duffy of Welland revealed on her INSTANT CROSSWORD DELUXE (Game #2179) ticket to win a $250,000 top prize.
"I play the lottery occasionally," shared Juvy, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her cheque. "I love playing INSTANT CROSSWORD because I love the thrill of revealing letters that I need to win."
The 43-year-old personal support worker decided to unwind after a night shift by playing her INSTANT CROSSWORD. She checked her ticket using the OLG Lottery App. "At first, I thought I won $25,000. I used the OLG Lottery App to confirm, and when I saw I won $250,000, I started shaking. I couldn't believe it!"
Juvy called her husband right away to tell him the news. "He said, ‘Are you joking me?’" she laughed.
Juvy plans to pay some bills and save some for her daughter's education. "I'd also like to buy myself a new car – something small and reliable.”
"It's an overwhelming feeling, I’ve had a hard time sleeping,” she concluded.
