TORONTO, ON – BINGO! Mahtab Khalili of Aurora won $250,000 with INSTANT BINGO MULTIPLIER (Game #3072).
A 47-year-old receptionist, Mahtab said playing INSTANT BINGO and INSTANT CROSSWORD have kept her entertained during the COVID-19 pandemic. She discovered her win when she was out running errands one day. “I used the Ticket Checker to check some tickets in my purse,” she explained while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her cheque. “The first two were not winners but I scanned the third one and out of the corner of my eye I saw a train of numbers on the screen!”
Mahtab started to shake. “Another customer noticed that I was pale and asked me if everything was okay. I was shocked – we scanned the ticket again and started to celebrate with the store clerk,” she recalled.
Mahtab plans to explore her financial options as she wants to make her winnings last. “I’m going to be careful with my winnings and hopefully buy a house,” she smiled.
“It feels so unreal. You always think it will happen to others. Once it happens to you, you are dizzy and in shock and start to question your reality,” she concluded.
