ANCASTER RESIDENT WINS $448,189 LOTTARIO JACKPOT

TORONTO, ONJames Browne of Ancaster won “Ontario’s jackpot” – $448,189.50 in the August 20, 2022 LOTTARIO draw.

The 72-year-old retiree says this is his first major win. "I play LOTTARIO and ONTARIO 49 weekly," he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.

James was at the store when he discovered his big win. "I checked my ticket multiple times to make sure it was real. I was very calm and a bit nervous," he said.

He told his wife about the big win as soon as he got home. "She didn't believe me at first. After about 20 minutes of convincing her, it started to sink in. She is so happy for me," he smiled.

James plans to save his win and purchase a new car in the future.
