Toronto, ON – Susan Baldwin of Iroquois can “find her possible” after winning $5 million in the LOTTO 6/49 Classic Jackpot on August 14, 2024.  

Susan, who works in education, is not a regular lottery player. In fact, she didn’t know how to play LOTTO 6/49 until recently. While at her local grocery store, she overheard the customer in front of her ask for a ticket. When it was her turn, Susan asked for the same play. This spur-of-the-moment decision to pick up a LOTTO 6/49 ticket now has her celebrating her first big win, and the joy of becoming a millionaire!

“I left my ticket on the kitchen counter and asked my husband to check it for me as I headed out for work. Soon after I left, I got a text from him telling me to come home,” Susan recalled, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her windfall. “Then, he called me, saying, ‘You need to come home. You won $5 million on that ticket!’ I didn’t believe him at first, but he sent me a screenshot from the OLG app. My body froze and my heart started racing. It took my breath away!”

“When I got home and saw my husband, it was a quiet, surreal moment. We went to the store right away,” Susan smiled. “It feels crazy to win and I never expected it. I’ve never known anyone who has won big like this before!”

“I plan to semi-retire and will give my notice at work. I also intend to invest and make sure this money lasts a long time. I have a lot of decisions to make. I will take my time and let things settle in a bit, but I am excited to enjoy some travel with family,” Susan concluded.

LOTTO 6/49 offers players a chance to win two multi-million dollar jackpots every Wednesday and Saturday, for the same $3 per play.
